Choosing the right clip
Clips hold C9 or C7 sockets upright and evenly spaced without puncturing the roof or gutter. Match the clip to the surface:
- All-in-one clips: shingles and gutters, the most common roofline clip.
- O-clips: slip over the socket and fasten to gutters and edges; used in many kits.
- Ridge clips: straddle roof peaks and ridge caps.
- Tile / extended fascia clips: tile roofs and deep fascia boards.
- Magnet clips: steel and other magnetic metal surfaces.
- Shingle tabs: low-profile mounts that slide under shingles.
