Choosing a C9 installation kit
Kit length should match the total footage being lit, not the length of a single run. Measure each roofline, peak and gutter section, add them together, and round up to the next kit size: 250, 500, 1,000, 2,000 or 4,000 ft. Leftover socket wire isn't wasted; it's cut to length for the next run.
12 in. vs 15 in. spacing
12 in. spacing places a bulb every foot, which produces a continuous line of light and is the common choice for single-story homes and entrances viewed up close. 15 in. spacing uses about 20% fewer bulbs over the same footage and is typical on two-story homes and commercial buildings seen from the street.
Color and clip options
Kits are offered in single colors (sun warm white, warm white, pure white, red, multi-color) and in mixed patterns such as warm white with red. Some kits let you choose between all O-clips or a mix of O-clips and light stakes for combining roofline and walkway runs.
